Hosted by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and Sponsored by Exxon Mobil | Rapid, ChemE Cube is an annual student competition in which undergraduate university teams design, build, and demonstrate a one-cubic-foot plant to produce chemistry defined in the annual problem statement. This year, the problem statement is Direct Air Capture + Regeneration. We had a virtual qualifying presentation last spring and then go to Boston, Massachusetts to compete internationally this fall. Meetings take place in Bertelsmeyer 110H on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 to 7 PM.

Mission
The mission of the Concrete Canoe Team at the Missouri University of Science and Technology is to provide students with the opportunity to design, construct and complete a canoe made of concrete. This unconventional challenge motivates the team to come up with creative solutions to a seemingly impossible task - making a boat of concrete float. This organization allows the members to gain invaluable experience with every step of the design process from conceptual design to a finished product. Through the spirit of intercollegiate competition, this project hopes to foster leadership, teamwork and project management skills.

S&T Racing exists to empower students with the skills and experience necessary to become transformative leaders across a variety of industries. S&T Racing accomplishes this by providing students the tools and framework to take their classroom learning and apply it in a large-scale, collaborative project - the designing and building of a Formula SAE racecar.

Synthetic biology is the engineering of biological systems to create solutions to current problems in medicine, agriculture, environmental contamination, and energy, just to name a few. iGEM is an international collaboration to create an open gene library full of standardized biological parts for genetically modifying organisms. Teams from over 26 countries meet annually in the fall at the Regional and World Jamborees to present research, discuss the progress of synthetic biology, network with other teams, and, of course, compete. The Missouri S&T iGEM team is an interdisciplinary design team that uses synthetic biology to help solve the world's problems.

Our competition season runs Jan-Dec and we have meetings once or twice a week. New members are always welcomed any time of the year and please reach out if you have any questions!

Sustainable Engineering’s goal is to explore sustainable solutions through both civil engineering and other fields in engineering and science. To do this, Sustainable Engineering is creating a design for the ASCE 2025 Sustainable Solutions competition, which explores a new civil engineering challenge yearly. Sustainable Engineering is also designing and building sustainable and environmentally conscious projects with the CArEE Department and the Department of Environmental Science.
